So many foreigners.....uggghhhh

I was attending this year's Holiday Lunch party , while a colleague begin to share rather sarcastically , there are so many foreigners in North American, from various countries. And specifically each foreigner in USA is bound to have some relatives, friends or extended family in Canada as well.
My co-worker's way of sharing sounded more like a complain when he mentioned, "...may be Canadian immigration policies are relaxed , that's why .."
I heard it, as an opinion of a free individual in a free country , without thinking much about it. However, when the term 'foreigner' was used repeatedly as a complain. I started thinking analyzing on the whole conversion.
Couple of questions arose in my mind, including clarification for the term foreigner. With advent of foreigners, government is benefiting. Economy of the country is improving as well . etc.

Before going further , I pondered and came up with the following below pointers. Everyone should read these points, before giving their assessment about foreigners :

1. There is a high shortage of highly skilled professionals across the globe. Total population of  the world does not prepare enough individuals with skills needed to maintain equilibrium in job market of each country. This results in shifting professionals from one country to other.

2. Not enough interest & passion is being inculcated in young minds about emerging technologies and changing landscape of professions.  This results in having too many graduates in certain discipline in one country over others.

3. Not all jobs & professions are given equal prestige and respect. Some are considered privileged and gifted, whereas others are chosen as a backup option or last resort. This scenario is  applicable in developed and developing countries  equally.

4. Lack of government programs to educate their own citizens. Instead, they rely on hiring foreign talent . And the the height of ignorance for this initiative is reflected from the fact. While hiring qualified , advanced degree professionals. The simple term used for the whole process is: We are hiring labor from other countries.

This labor force, even while serving to their best potentials for entire lives in a new country, is considered as outsiders and foreigners. The term itself is not bad. Its usage and the context its used in can bring negative feelings or thoughts at times.

On the Run with Tom yam,Tom kha kai && Cappuccino

As holidays are approaching closer, and you want to go out and about.
Here are some recommendations, which you sure don't want to miss !!!

If you are craving for soups or something light , hit your local Thai place,
You cannot go wrong with your soup choices if you order Tom Yam or Tom Kha Kai
Tom Yam is delicious sweet & sour soup with a strong lemon flavor
while giving your taste buds a treat of  chicken and mushrooms in it.
Tom kha kai is a mild to spicy soup with coconut milk, galangal and chicken.
Our personal preference is to get them served warm rather hot to savor the flavor.

The soups are quite incredible and amazing, you would want to drink
from another cup or be a cup :P . May make you a little tipsy too, not the kind
of tipsiness you  have from alcohol.
If you plan to visit  a mall afterwards. Having the soup before it will help
you remain focused while shopping , whether you are on the lookout for some gift bargains
or out to see holiday shopping crowd.
To make your trip interesting , grab some cappuccino , it will help you to enjoy your time, keeping
you active at the same time. Also, having an extra caffeine kick should help you start discussing politics , common day affairs or government policies in general. This will be your chance to share your views and have a common talk.
If you get tired , while listening to others or talking too much. Grab a random spot , have some water and resume your conversation.  This time , you would feel it to be more open , fun and random.
Spend rest of the evening in the same tone.

If you are ready to go home, 'Congratulations' , you have completed your first successful Tom Kha kai experience. Drive home safely, there are chances you'll find moon hidden in the clouds on your way back. Don't worry moon is hiding from you , because best part of the evening is yet to come :D !!!!!!.

P.S. The above experiment was done, keeping soup and its effect in mind.  In future work, we will investigate , the correlation between soup and company. Can a great personality & their company makes the soup and its effects so delicious or is it soup alone . Or is it a little bit of both ? So stay tuned !!!

Preaching getting Personal ??

National Academy of Engineering has identified 14 grand challenges for Engineering in 21st century.
One of them is Advance personalized learning.
Now when we talk about learning and information,  its in every area of life.

Religion and its penetration starts from  very early age , in some cultures . Learning about their faith and values start from childhood.  How can we exclude and separate  this theological learning from academic and social learning. Learning about your religion and its values is important, but the fact , every learner is different remains the same. Teachings and preaching about religion and sunday sermons have followed the same pattern over the years. Some kids will not learn about it ,the conventional way , compared to other kids.
More than ever, there is need for  new personalized and innovative approaches of learning  in religious sector as well.  One size fits all has been the norm in churches  for over centuries.
Religion applies equally to everyone but , the call to act on your faith is different for each indiviual.
Secondly, religious life is a personal experience, so its preaching and learning ought to be an advanced personalized learning platform too.
There are challenges in this sector to bring changes  easily, specially when the topic is delicate. However Preaching to get personal is thought for the day !!.

So you believe in God ?

A conversation happened between two people one evening. !!! P1 - person one , P2 - person 2

P1:  So you believe in God ?
P2 : Those who do not believe , indirectly they also believe HIM.

P1: Interesting
P2: How is it interesting ?
P1: I am not going at you on your beliefs , sorry if it seemed that way. It was just a quick question
to how you stated your answer. I found that interesting in that's not most people would answer
       that question- kudos to you

P2: Because unbelievers spend their lives to proof that HE is not there. Which means, they are
doubtful and want to make sure that something like this is not true. They do believe HE might be         there, so they try to give rationals and logic about HIS non existent .
If you know something does not exist. Why would you try to justify or explain something ??

P1:  I completely get that, I have got a brother who does nothing but that when the subject is
brought  up, please don't think I was doing that to you- I would never want to treat or talk down
to someone because of what they believe.
